The U-Boat Project 1914-18 is a collaboration between the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, Bangor University and the Nautical Archaeology Society to commemorate those who served at sea during the Great War.

The project partners have used the latest underwater imaging techniques to examine vessels that were lost around the coast of Wales due to submarine warfare. The sites chosen are a small sample of the 155 vessels lost, but their stories represent many key aspects of the conflict.

The tributes to the unsung heroes and heroines featured in this exhibition have been suggested by individuals, community groups, and the network of museums around the Welsh coast.
